Advice for Using This Site as a Learning Tool
If you are new to Wertabspaltungkritik, or the critique of value-dissociation, you may find this site to be a useful tool for learning more about this radical theoretical framework. Since the amount of content can be a bit overwhelming if you don’t know what you’re looking for, we’ve created this page to suggest a way of going through it.
The best place to begin is by looking at the interviews page. There you will find Robert Kurz speaking about a wide range of topics in a way that makes learning about his thought a lot easier than if you were to try to begin by reading his essays.
After reading a few of the interviews, and becoming familiar with the basic ideas of Wertabspaltungkritik, the next step we recommend would be reading the fundamental texts found in the book Marxism and The Critique of Value (2014). This indispensable volume contains many important contributions from authors such as Robert Kurz, Roswitha Scholz, and Claus Peter Ortlieb.
If you read this collection of essays, you are well on your way to understanding the radical critique of commodity society being developed by the EXIT! group. At this point, you will probably be able to, for the most part, understand any essay posted on this site. But before clicking on whatever essay you think you might find interesting, we would also recommend going to the Robert Kurz page and reading a few of his older essays. These essays had a huge influence on the development of Wertabspaltungkritik, and will make you even better prepared for reading the more recent work of the exit! group.
